The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors approved settlements totaling $2.5 million for two families whose loved ones died in the 2020 helicopter crash that also killed National Basketball Association superstar Kobe Bryant and his daughter, Gianna Bryant.
The settlements end lawsuits filed by the Mauser and Altobelli families. Matthew Mauser and his three children lost wife, mother and basketball coach Christina Mauser, 38 years old, . Siblings John James Altobelli and Alexis Altobelli lost their parents, John and Keri Altobelli, 56 and 46, respectively, and teenage sister Alyssa.
