The Los Angeles Chargers have signed former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Dez Fitzpatrick.

wide receiver Dez Fitzpatrick to their practice squad just a week after releasing him. Fitzpatrick was cut last week after the Chargers added Laviska Shenault, but it did not take long for the Chargers to wrap back around and sign Fitzpatrick back.

Fitzpatrick was drafted out of Louisville in the fourth round of the 2021 NFL Draft by the Tennessee Titans. However, his stint in Tennessee soured quickly, and the team moved on after just two seasons. That is when the Steelers signed him to a future’s contract after the 2022 season, and he earned his way onto the practice squad.

The Pontiac, Michigan, native ran a 4.47 40-yard dash and stands at 6-foot-1. As a bigger receiver, he plays mostly outside but provides plenty of special teams upside that could get him into another locker room before the end of the season. Fitzpatrick spent the entire 2023 season with the Steelers and was signed and elevated to the active roster due to injuries at the wide receiver position. He was cut out of training camp this year and opted to go to the Chargers instead of returning to Pittsburgh., where our team of sports betting experts has reviewed the experience, payout speed, parlay options and quality of odds for multiple sportsbooks.
