Not only was she chosen 11th by Choco Mucho, a squad known for its talent and large fan base, but she was also given a chance to play alongside her idols in fellow middle blockers Maddie Madayag and Cherry Nunag.
Multiple dreams came true for middle blocker Lorraine Pecaña after being selected in the first round of the inaugural Premier Volleyball League Rookie Draft Monday night, July 8, at the Novotel in Cubao.
“Sila po talaga yung mga tinitingala kong middle blockers at iniidolo since nag-start akong mag-volleyball,” said Pecaña moments after her selection. The only NCAA player drafted in the first round, the Arellano University standout is also looking forward to playing for one of the respected coaches in the league in Dante Alinsunurin.
