We've waited a long time for this moment. But folks, the time is finally here. Lorde has returned with new music. The 24-year-old pop star, born Ella Yelich-O'Connor, broke a four-year-long hiatus with the release of a new single,"Solar Power," this afternoon, setting the vibes right for Summer 2021."Lead the boys and girls onto the beaches / Come one, come all, I’ll tell you my secrets / I’m kinda like a prettier Jesus," she boldly sings.
Along with the release of the new track, Lorde debuted the accompanying music video that she co-directed with Joel Kefali. In it, she embodies the carefree, summery ethos of her lyrics, frolicking on the shore in a golden, silky two-piece look. She reprises her lovably quirky dance moves.
