The rumors have been swirling for a while now, and we finally have confirmation that the Lord of the Rings open-world RPG is very much a real thing.
The Lord of the Rings is one of the most legendary franchises in any medium, and it has a long and storied history of video game adaptations that really pay tribute to Tolkien's original work.
It's been a little while since we've had anything though, and calls have been growing for a new entry tied to the IP. Happily, rumors have been swirling for a while now that there was one on the way, and we have finally had the very exciting confirmation of what it is, and who is heading up the project.
Over on Twitter/X, Kingdom Come Deliverance developer Warhorse Studios finally confirmed that they are the developer working on the new Lord of the Rings open-world RPG. At the same time, they also confirmed that they are working on another Kingdom Come adventure, all of which sounds pretty good.
They didn't provide anything in the way of detail about what the game is actually going to be like, but this confirmation should, at the very least, come as brilliant news to fans.
