Thembinkosi Lorch and Vincent Pule are closing in on a return for Orlando Pirates, with the two stars set to get more time to recover ahead of the next match. Lorch and Pule were notable absentees from the Buccaneers’ line-up in their 2-0 win over TS Galaxy on Saturday. For Lorch, it was the fourth match that he missed since picking an injury against SuperSport United last month, while Pule got a knock in the previous match against Maritzburg United.
With Bucs set to play their next match next month, the club’s medical team will use the coming months to get the two stars ready for a possible return for Jose Riveiro’s team.Bucs are expected to face Mamelodi Sundowns in the first leg semi-final of the MTN8 on the weekend of 1-2 October, while the next league fixture for the side will be against Sekhukhune United on October 4 by which time it is expected that the team’s injury list will have improved.
Good news for the Soweto giants is that influential midfielder Goodman Mosele has completed his two-match suspension and will be in contention for a return to matchday squads.
