Frankie Bridge had a bit of a slip-up on Loose Women , making an unintentional cheeky comment about Sir Rod Stewart that left everyone in stitches. The Saturdays star was chatting with fellow panellists Brenda Edwards, Kaye Adams and Penny Lancaster - who happens to be Rod's wife - when she made the hilarious gaffe.
Frankie confessed she was having some trouble with her knees, just as Penny was discussing how Rod was focusing on his fitness and health. When asked about her own exercise regime, Frankie joked that she "wished she had more of Rod in me", causing the audience and panel to burst into laughter. Despite her attempts to steer the conversation back on track, Kaye suggested they wrap up the show there and then, as nothing could top that remark, leaving them all in fits of giggles."We regret to announce that tonight's Rod Stewart concert in Stateline, NV and his August 10 show in Lincoln, CA have been postponed, as the singer recovers from a summer strain of Covid-19.
In a candid chat, the legendary singer said though his "days are numbered", he has "no fear", reports the Mirror. He said: "I'm aware my days are numbered but I've got no fear. We have all got to pass on at some point, so we are all in the same basket. I am going to be enjoying myself for these last few years as much as I can. I say few - probably another 15. I can do that easy mate, easy.
He went on to disclose how lifestyle adjustments are part of his routine now: "The older you get, the more you have to do that. Water has a hell of a lot to do with it. But no, you think I just have water on my rider? You're talking to Rod Stewart here, mate. We go mad after every show. There are 13 of us, six women, really great musicians and I make them drink. We absolutely love it. Before the show I have a quick Bacardi which I am trying to convince myself is good for my voice.
