The only entrance and exit to the V&A Waterfront on Friday 24 and Saturday 25 February will be Dock Road. Additionally, there will be no access to Sea Point via Dock Road.
As anticipation mounts for a busy weekend, residents and visitors to the City can expect severe traffic disruptions as a result of the activities surrounding the Ocean Race and in the build-up to the Cape Town E-Prix.The Ocean Race makes its 12th stop in the Mother City, following its stop in Cabo Verde this weekend, while the course for the E-Prix will also be taking place in the vicinity.
Since 1973, the Ocean Race has taken place every four to five years. This epic event comprises a fleet of five fully crewed IMOCA 60s embarking on a 60,000-kilometre voyage around the world, with some of the best offshore sailors from across the globe competing.
