Tina Fey said she and others were swimming Thursday in the Gulf when the mako shark beached next to the group.
Tina Fey probably did not have rescuing a shark on her beach vacation itinerary, but that’s exactly what happened when the Texas resident and others were swimming in the Gulf on Thursday.
“Soo this just happened!!! Pensacola Beach. Contact [wildlife] rescue and life guards, and was told there’s nothing they could do for him. So sad!!” Fey wrote on social media along with a video of the shark that went viral. The Hallettsville, Texas, couple went swimming Thursday on Pensacola Beach when the shark “happened to beach itself right in front of us.”“We took action to get him back in the water since the wildlife people and lifeguards told us there was not they could do!! So we did our best to try to save him!!” she posted on social media. She told AL.com that there were no indications that the shark died as of Friday afternoon.
