It's thought to be one of the oldest Indian restaurants in the city
A popular restaurant in the city centre has been boarded up. Mogal-E-Azam is a long established Indian restaurant located Goldsmith Street, just round the corner from Nottingham's Rock City.
Mogal-E-Azam has been running since 1977 and is known in the city for its authentic and freshly prepared dishes. However, the restaurant has been recently boarded up. It's thought to be one of the oldest Indian restaurants in the city. It appears that the restaurant is under new ownership, according to a notice posted on the board. It reads: "Under new ownership. No trespass. Police notified."Last year, graffiti has appeared across the popular restaurant. The venue was hit in December 2022, and its owner previously explained to Nottinghamshire Live that this was just one of a string of incidents the business has had to endure.
