After a nationwide search, Mansfield ISD has made their choice for their next superintendent.

Dr. Tiffanie Spencer has been named the lone finalist to be the next superintendent of the Mansfield ISD. After a long, nationwide search for a new superintendent, the Mansfield ISD has named a locally grown administrator as the lone finalist for the job.

The district said they chose Dr. Tiffanie Spencer, who currently serves as the district's area superintendent of accountability and special populations in the curriculum and instruction department, because of her focus on strengthening student outcomes.“The Board is incredibly excited to name Dr. Tiffanie Spencer as the lone finalist for superintendent,” said Board President Dr. Benita Reed. “Throughout this process, Dr. Spencer consistently demonstrated a clear vision for student success, a deep respect for educators, and a strong alignment with the values of the Mansfield ISD community. We are confident her leadership will help advance our district’s mission and ensure continued excellence for our students and families.” The board also said she supported educators and planned on building collaborative partnerships with families and communities. In a statement, Spencer expressed gratitude and excitement about the opportunity to serve her community in this new role. “I’m honored and humbled to be named the lone finalist for superintendent. Mansfield ISD has been my home since childhood, and it’s a privilege to serve the district that shaped me,” Spencer said. “I believe every child can learn, and my commitment is to lead with heart, through consistent leadership, transparency, and deliberate capacity-building, so every student is prepared for college, career, and life.” Spencer began her educational career as a third-grader at Glenn Harmon Elementary School and graduated from Mansfield High School before attending the University of Houston. Spencer earned her Ed.D. from Texas A&M-Commerce and holds a superintendent’s certificate from The University of Texas at Tyler. Texas state law requires school districts implement a 21-day waiting period between identifying a lone finalist and offering an official contract. Spencer's effective date is to be determined.
