The “Imagine” gallery probably has the broadest appeal, and for that reason is the most successful, its “small world” focus amplified in’s installation of dolls’ houses, arranged as a hillside village at night. Now much reduced, with the bulk of its collection dispersed across other V&A sites the perennially popular dolls’ house collection remains a highlight, especially a gipsy caravan, and a gorgeous 1950s modernist house transformed with lights and music into a glamorous party palace.
