Perinton, N.Y (WHAM) Lollypop Farm desperately needs donations of one key resource as the winter months approach.
The shelves at Lollypop's“We have posted a plea to hope the community can make some donations, to go back into the community to help those who are struggling,” said Lollypop Farm Intake and Resource Counselor“This pantry is for people with owned pets that might be struggling a little bit," Donahue said. "Whether that be financially or struggling with transportation to go out and get food."Donahue says the fall season is usually when supplies get tight.
“Kids are going back to school, they’re going back to college, so maybe families are not having as much income in the home as they’re used to," said Donahue. "They might need a little extra assistance with that stuff."Donahue says she's hopeful their plea for help won't go unanswered. “Luckily our community is wonderful so when we post a plea looking for food, people answer it pretty quickly,” said Donahue. “But we're always getting new applications so always getting donations help keep up with the new people who might be needing help.”
