The Logitech Lift Vertical Ergonomic Mouse caters for both left- and right-handed people
Logitech has launched a new ergonomic mouse that has a version specifically for left-handed computer users.
The Logitech Lift Vertical Ergonomic Mouse stands tall rather than flat, which the company says will give “users a relaxing grip and takes pressure off the wrist while promoting a more natural forearm posture throughout the day”. It’s designed for small-to-medium sized hands, and comes in both left-handed and right-handed configurations.
In my tests with the right-handed version, the mouse sits comfortably in the hand. A rubber grip under the palm makes it easier to keep control of the mouse, while the easy-to-reach placement of two extra buttons under the thumb is handy for functions such as flicking back and forward in a web browser.
The scroll wheel is silent, meaning you won’t irritate nearby colleagues as you scroll up and down documents or web pages, either.Logitech claims the Life Vertical Ergonomic Mouse has been extensively tested in the company’s labs and could help users who suffer from repetitive strain injury. That rather begs the question of why Logitech continues to design most mice in the traditional format.
