ICYMI: The Guardians got just what they needed from Logan Allen in his start on Sunday.
rookie left-hander Logan Allen earned his postgame beer shower with eight strikeouts in six innings, picking up his first major league win in a 7-4 Cleveland victory against Miami on Sunday at Progressive Field.
Allen gave the Guardians exactly what they needed in his big league debut, scattering five hits and allowing only a walk and a solo home run to Jon Berti in the third inning while throwing 86 pitches. The Guardians avoided a sweep at the hands of the Marlins, and scored four runs for the first time since April 16 at Washington.
