A domestic violence incident in Logan escalated into a police pursuit and collision, authorities said.
Logan Police Department and the Cache County Sheriff's Office arrested an aggravated domestic assault suspect on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, after a pursuit that ultimately led to an officer-involved critical incident investigation.
According to a statement from the Logan City Police Department, officers responded to a reported aggravated domestic assault around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday in the west part of the city.A Cache County Sheriff's deputy spotted the suspect and attempted a traffic stop, and the suspect reportedly fled again. Sometime during the attempted escape, the suspect's vehicle collided with another car, leaving the suspect injured.Occupants of the other vehicle received treatment at the scene.
The critical incident protocol team is automatically activated when an officer or deputy uses lethal force.
