A number of criminals were sent to the nick for various offences in Yorkshire, ranging from the disgusting to the absolutely bizarre.
Nicholas Greaves - Nicholas Greaves put a camera in his bathroom and filmed two women as they used the shower, downloaded hundreds of thousands of indecent images of children and told police that females aged 14 to 15 were "absolute perfection". The 60-year-old mechanic of Score Croft, Skelmanthorpe, was given a sentence of a year, suspended for two years.
Jonathan Robshaw - Robshaw, of Camelot Court, Viking Road in Pontefract committed a spate of robberies armed with a knife. Robshaw for six years. Bland, of Denby Crest in Pontefract, who acted as a look out for Robshaw, was jailed for three years and nine months. Sanjidah Ahmed - The Keighley woman paid someone on social media £300 to get rid of a speeding notice for her. Ahmed, of Acres Street in Keighley, was arrested in June 2021 and she told officers she had paid £300 to an unidentified person to get rid of the first NIP in March 2020. She was given a sentence of six months, suspended for 18 months and ordered to carry out 120 hours of unpaid work and attend 20 rehabilitation activity requirement days.
Zafar Qayum, Ansar Qayum, Mohammed Jabbar Qayum - Zafar Qayum, 42, and his brothers Ansar, 45, and Mohammed Jabbar, 41, all from Dewsbury were found guilty of a catalogue of sickening sex offences. Zafar Qayum was jailed for 30 years, Ansar Qayum, who was already serving another sentence of 10 years and nine months for kidnapping was sentenced to 20 years which will be added onto that which is already serving. Mohammed Jabbar Qayum was sent to prison for 13 years.
