Locals recovered the corpse of a 12-year-old boy who went missing while swimming in a Quezon City creek at the height of Friday's heavy downpour, according to a report by dzBB’s Luisito Santos.

Locals recovered the corpse of a 12-year-old boy who went missing while swimming in a Quezon City creek at the height of Friday's heavy downpour, according to a report by dzBB’s Luisito Santos.

Based on the report, the body of Edgardo Abraham Reyes was found by residents on Sunday at around 11 a.m. along a creek on G. Araneta Avenue in Barangay Santo Domingo, Quezon City.. He swam in the creek with his two other friends, but only one of them was able to go home, according to Quezon City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office .However, residents continued to look for Reyes.The CDRRMO opened a part of the avenue to be able to retrieve the body.

Authorities from the Quezon City Police District will continue its investigation into Reyes' cause of death.
