Dispatched 1:10 a.m. Dec. 28 to M Bevy for a drunken woman refusing to leave the bar, officers gave the Colorado woman, 27, several chances to leave with her brother. She refused and her brother said he did not feel safe taking her. When told she was under arrest, she said she was going to kill herself. Police cited her for disorderly conduct and EMS transported her the hospital for an involuntary psych commitment.
She was irate with all officers and medics and had to be sedated by the paramedics prior to the transport. When released she has a date with Chardon Municipal Court.A Novelty woman, 68, responded to the police station 12:43 p.m. Dec. 27 to file a report about alleged damage to a vehicle. She said someone accused her of striking their car with her car door. There was no damage to her vehicle and the driver of the other vehicle did not respond to the station.A resident called police 3:37 a.m. Dec. 28 after an unknown man attempted to enter their home. Responding officers found a 23-year-old Chardon man leaning on the front door of the home. They attempted to get his attention several times without a response. Moving closer they found the drunken man fast asleep. After waking and speaking to him police learned he was at a bar and walked to the wrong address. An officer called his cousin who picked him up and gave him a ride home. No charges were filed at the time.An officer responded 9 a.m. Dec. 28 to a report of an injured deer in the ditch that appeared to have been struck by a vehicle. The officer dispatched it using his firearm.
