Updated: Jan. 25, 2025, 2:12 p.m. On Jan. 3, at approximately 8:50 p.m., Crocker Park Officers received a phone tip about a woman unconscious in a running vehicle behind businesses at the Crocker Park shopping center. Upon arrival, officers discovered the driver unresponsive even after being removed from the vehicle. Officers administered naloxone, an opioid-overdose antidote, while waiting for paramedics. Moments later, the woman regained consciousness and stated she was feeling unwell.
Westlake Fire Department paramedics treated the 50-year-old Westlake resident and transported her to the hospital. She was subsequently charged with having physical control of a vehicle while impaired. \Later that evening, at 9:15 p.m., officers responded to Giant Eagle Market District on a report of an intoxicated man without pants wandering through the store. Upon arrival, officers found the man wearing boxer shorts. He had vomited on his jacket and urinated on himself. Officers charged the 59-year-old Avon Lake resident with disorderly conduct while intoxicated. \At 12:50 a.m. on Jan. 5, employees of Extended Stay America hotel contacted the police department regarding a couple arguing in the lobby. The woman had been asked to leave the man’s hotel room due to disagreements, and upon officers arriving, they were engaged in a dispute concerning missing property. Both the man and the woman were arrested for disorderly conduct while intoxicated and taken to jail to sober up
