Local muralist Phobik is back with another one-of-a-kind t-shirt design for ABC7 's Spark of Love toy drive.This time it's for ABC7 's 33rd annual"It was just putting out there an image I would like to see when I was a kid," said Phobik .
"There was a ton of clothes that had awesome graphics growing up, and I just wanted to play with that.""I definitely had to tap into my inner child to be like what would I want to see," he added. ""I liked Teen Mutant Ninja Turtles, Jurassic P ark, I always wanted the T-Rex," he excitedly added. He loves that all of the toys from his childhood is making a comeback for the new generation to enjoy. "The thing now is that they're redoing a lot of these toys," said Phobik. "I get to see it every time I go to Target or a store. It's so hard not to buy them.""I remember last Spark of Love, I had two of the heads," he motioned. "That was cool, but this time around I wanted to get more playful with it, more graphics, more colors. I guess the word I'm looking for is being more kid friendly.""I appreciate the opportunity to show my art," he said.to identify muralists willing to donate their time and talent for the project.ABC7's apparel shopABC7 will donate 100% of its proceeds from the sale of the Phobik's t-shirt to support Spark of Love.
