Already hooked on fishing, Mario Petitti, Zeke and Abe Ella and Nico Petitti recently had adventure of a lifetime on a great Mississippi River catfish trip just south of Memphis, Tennessee, with Capt. Dave Magness. The star of the trip was an amazing 63-pound blue catfish that took all four boys to catch, cradle for a photo and release.
Despite their age and stature, under Capt. Dave’s directions the youngsters worked as a team to bait and set out the rods, and catch and release the many big cats while fishing the Mississippi just south of Memphis. “On the second day Ryan and I could barely keep baits in the water, the bite was so strong,” said Kopf, of Kopf Builders in Avon Lake. “We have an ability to work together and read each other’s movements, and the flow in the boat comes naturally.”
