Some Malaysians still believe in physical punishment. But, it seems a teacher in Penang went too far when they caned a student until he almost went blind.
The incident reportedly took place in a school in Sungai Ara, Penang yesterday afternoon. Apparently, the 17-year-old student had been caught vaping in school. Unfortunately, his punishment got out of hand when it ended with his eye being bruised and swollen, leaving him almost blind.According to his father Mazni Mohamad, his son had been caught vaping in Science class while his teacher was teaching, around 12.30pm.
Mazni Mohamad added that they had referred him to the Penang General Hospital afterwards as they needed an eye specialist. “
