After creating what they call a Cousin’s Camp at Greg and Debbie Golden’s house, where the grandchildren would gather, an idea to have a lemonade stand sparked after reading a bible story. Their goal was to raise enough money to purchase a uniform for one foster child. However, they say God had a bigger and better plan.

The saying, “when life gives you lemons, make lemonade,” is true for the Golden family. Except, they did more than your average lemonade stand.

“We wanted to buy a uniform set for a foster child,” Golden said. “That was what we started out with as a goal. We had been told that was about $110 for uniforms and some school supplies beyond that. Our goal would be around $130, $140 or $150.”They counted $863, which would go to more than one foster child.
