abc.net.au/news/synergy-360-allegedly-planned-funnel-money-to-stuart-robert/102535720The ex-husband of a former owner of a Canberra lobbying firm has used parliamentary privilege to make explosive claims about former Liberal minister Stuart Robert's dealings with the firm.
"These are serious allegations before a parliamentary committee and do require further investigation so I've asked my agency, Services Australia, to advise what the next appropriate avenues are," Mr Shorten said. "It is an independent body free of government so I await advice from my agency as to the next appropriate avenues to pursue this matter," he said."It is not proven but it is correct that Services Australia leases much of its delivery systems," he said.
"At no time have I ever been paid for any advice or guidance in any form. At no time did I lobby to assist any firm in such a manner. I also reiterate that Mr Margerison and Milo have both said publicly that no payments were ever made, nor sought in any form."The joint committee investigating the matter resolved to make Mr Daly's sworn statement public, citing public interest.
