Loadshedding increased to stage 5 after numerous breakdowns

Eskom has announced that following the failure of five generating units, loadshedding will be ramped up to stage 5 at 4pm this afternoon.

Stage 5 will remain implemented until 5am on Tuesday, after which stage 4 will be implemented until further notice.

Following the failure of five generating units today, Stage 5 loadshedding will be implemented from 16:00 today until 05:00 tomorrow whereafter Stage 4 loadshedding will resume until further notice.
