Davie Martindale insists the Lions can benefit from Celtic's away trip to the Netherlands when the teams meet on Saturday
Livingston boss David Martindale insists the Lions have to try to take advantage of Celtic’s midweek European efforts. But the gaffer admits that even that might not be enough to help his side get the better of the defending champions.
His side, by contrast, have a full week to prepare and Martindale believes that could be a factor they have to try and take advantage of on Saturday. Martindale said: “I think you have to look to try and find every single possible marginal gain you can get. “There’s a lot of mental energy as well as physical energy that goes into these European games and then they have to come back and prepare themselves for an early kick-off on Saturday, whereas we’ve had a full week’s preparation.”
