The River of Light festival in Liverpool opened with a preview of illuminated artwork dedicated to reliving Eurovision 2023. The exhibition showcases artworks from acclaimed designers and will be on display for 10 nights. The installations, including nods to the famous song contest, are part of a 2km walking trail in the city centre.

Liverpool City Council’s Cabinet Member for Health, Wellbeing and Culture, Councillor Harry Doyle, said: “River of Light gets better year on year – and the 2023 instalment is no exception. Five months on, and the success of Eurovision is still a huge talking point so I’m delighted that we have commissioned some incredible artworks which pay tribute to those fantastic, surreal two weeks in May.
This year there are also"quiet hours" which will be taking place between 4pm and 5pm on Sunday, October 29 and Wednesday, November 1. Measures that will be in place during the"quiet hour" staging will be different for each installation and further details can be found online.United By Music stands as a 12-meter round, multi-purpose performance space that pays tribute to the music of Eurovision 2023 which took place in Liverpool.
Art and design collective Studio Vertigo are bringing back "Our Beating Heart" which glistened at Liverpool Town Hall during Eurovision. The heart shaped mirror ball will be returning with a spectacular dancing light show for the beautiful shimmering sight. This world premiere is the second installation by Amigo & Amigo and features a giant interactive light installation inspired by the cycles of the moon, with over 40 different sounds and animations, the audience is invited to move and play throughout.
