Liverpool will keep their place as Premier League leaders ahead of Arsenal and Manchester City after beating Crystal Palace ?-? on Saturday
By the skin of their teeth, Liverpool escaped Selhurst Park with three points this Saturday lunchtime. Diogo Jota put the Reds in front early on, but by the final whistle they were holding on desperately. In his first major show of rotation in the Premier League , Arne Slot made four changes to the starting line-up whilst goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher was forced to drop from the bench, presumably with illness.
The next stint of the season sees the start of a truly gruelling section of the campaign, facing fourth-placed Chelsea, third-placed Arsenal and fifth-placed Aston Villa before the November international break. Brighton aren't pushovers either, and they will be playing them twice in the same week with a Carabao Cup tie to handle. The Champions League mixed in to this stretch will also throw another conundrum, with RB Leipzig, Bayer Leverkusen and most critically Real Madrid to come.
