Curtis Jones has made his 100th appearance for Liverpool as Jurgen Klopp's long-term plan is coming together
"100th appearance for MY club! What a way to celebrate it!" posted the midfielder on social media having reached a century of games for the Reds during the 3-1 win at Wolves on Saturday.
The 22-year-old became only the third homegrown Academy graduate after Steven Gerrard and Trent Alexander-Arnold to make 100 appearances for Liverpool since the current building at Kirkby was opened 25 years ago. "After the last game I had both together and said to them ‘this is only the start’," said the Reds boss at the time. "And they were like ‘yes, with us on the pitch’. It’s really nice."
“You have these kinds of conversations when you are not 100% happy with the moment. That’s where we are in Curtis’s development.”
