Liverpool are still expecting their Premier League match against Leicester City to go ahead on Boxing Day despite the thick fog on Merseyside.
Liverpool are due to host Leicester City at Anfield on Boxing Day Arne Slot’s side host the Foxes at Anfield for Boxing Day’s 8pm Premier League kick-off. However, concerns over visibility inside the stadium have been raised due to the dense fog in the area. Reports that a 4pm pitch inspection is taking place at Anfield have been dismissed, however, Liverpool have urged supporters travelling to the stadium to allow for extra time on their journey.
A statement from Liverpool’s supporter services read: ‘If you are coming to the match today, please ensure you set off earlier than usual due to foggy conditions in and around Anfield stadium. Please take care when travelling.
