But Premier League duo Liverpool and Tottenham are ready to battle to keep him in England and ensure Bournemouth recoup a fee for the centre-back.The former England Under-21 international joined the south coast club in 2019 from Bristol City.He cost a reported £13million and signed a five-year deal at the Vitality Stadium.
But with Bournemouth facing the prospect of losing the defender for free at the end of that deal, it is believed they could be forced to accept a cut-price fee for his services.He played 24 times last term, with an ankle injury preventing him from being an ever-present.Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp was keen to add a new left-sided defender in the summer window, but failed to add one to his squad.
Tottenham were also planning to bring in a centre-back, but couldn’t shift out-of-favour stars Eric Dier and Davinson Sanchez in time to make those plans a reality.
