PETALING JAYA: The Hari Raya Aidhiladha celebration in Ayer Hitam was a lively one, says Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.

The Ayer Hitam MP said that this year, sacrificial rites for Aidiladha were carried out from June 29 to July 1.

"This year, I sponsored 10 cows for the sacrificial rites. In addition, both Semarang assemblyman Datuk Samsol Bari Jamali and Yong Peng assemblyman Ling Tian Soon also sponsored sacrificial cows for their areas," the MCA president said in a Facebook on post Saturday . The Semarak and Yong Peng state constituencies are located within the Ayer Hitam parliamentary constituency.

Dr Wee also said that the meat from the sacrificial animals was distributed to villagers and residents in the area.
