"I've only watched it on TV so I can't wait to see the ingenuity and how creative these people are," Consuelos said. In the past, the Halloween episode has been among the highest rated of the year. The show's producer, Michael Gelman, and his staff spend a year looking for answers. "The day after Halloween we start putting things aside for next Halloween," Ripa said. "We just want to be as topical as possible. It's so pop culture-centric that we like our Halloween to be as relevant as possible so things could change or be added."
The show's annual costume contest is also set to return, in which audience members and viewers at home can compete for their share of $10,000 in prize money. You can find out how to enter the contest on
