Hunter Biden faces three felony charges related to a gun he purchased in 2018.
Prospective jurors filled out a questionnaire and the judge is now asking a few follow-ups of people who answered “yes” on some questions as she tries to whittle down the pool. The questions so far have focused on people’s personal schedules, their views on gun ownership and any family history they have with drug addiction.
One gun owner who has been convicted of crimes said he could not be impartial in a case in which someone was barred from owning a firearm because of something they did in their past. He was struck from consideration. Another said that her sister struggled with drug addiction but that she could be impartial. A third said her father owned a firearm but that she believed that politicians allow anyone to easily get a gun. “In our country, I feel our gun laws aren’t strong enough,” she said.
