Update: 280k without power as severe storms, tornado warnings hit Dallas-Forth Worth
According to Oncor, about 133,000 customers were without power as of 6:20 p.m. Thursday.6:00 p.m.: Severe thunderstorm warning issued in Denton County
A severe thunderstorm warning was issued for Parker County until 6 p.m. and a severe thunderstorm was located over Mineral Wells, according to the NWS. Wind gusts were measured at 71 mph near the city, and the NWS urged those in the path of the storm to seek shelter. The warnings included Franklin, Titus and Red River counties, not far from where the tornado was seen. Rotation was indicated on radar within a 15-mile radius of Marshall, Texas, and warnings were issued for parts of Marion, Cass and Harrison counties, according to the NWS in Shreveport, Louisiana.
