We're at the Logan Entertainment Centre, pretty much smack bang in the middle of the working class electorate of Rankin which the Treasurer has represented since 2013. It's been a Labor heartland seat since the electorate was created in the 1980s. But even though it's his seat and the majority of people here vote Labor, he won't get an easy time from the hundreds of voters filing into the auditorium now.today: Australians are still feeling significant financial stress thanks to stubbornly high inflation — and they don't give the government a lot of credit for helping them out. They are really struggling after 13 interest rate rises.
