The derailment at Cornbrook means there is currently no service between Deansgate Castlefield and Old Trafford , Firswood, Media City and Wharfside.
In an earlier tweet, the Bee Network said: "Due to a derailment at Cornbrook we have no service between Deansgate Castlefield and Old Trafford, Firswood, Media City and Wharfside. “Ticket acceptance is in place on selected bus services between Eccles, East Didsbury, Manchester Airport, Altrincham, Trafford Centre, Rochdale and Bury.
Engineers have arrived on the scene and said the line could be out of commission for the entire morning. When I arrived, the entrance to the stop was crammed with taxis as people scrambled to get to work. Five separate tram lines run through this stop going to all parts of south and west Manchester - it’s fair to say it will be disrupting a lot of journeys todayThe Bee Network have said customers are experiencing 'severe delays' across the network, particularly on the Altrincham line, due to this derailment this morning.
