Police said there was a homicide at Jones College, which we are being told is a residential building on campus. The call came in around 4:50 p.m. Investigators said a female student was found dead in her university housing unit during a welfare check. A man was, who is not a student, was also found dead with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Campus officials asked for all students to stay in their rooms until the scene was secured. Faculty and staff were asked to shelter in place until 7:30 p.m.This article will be updated as soon as more information becomes available.
