Train lines from Manchester blocked due to emergency incident
A number of train lines from and through Manchester are blocked this morning while emergency services deal with an incident.
All lines between Manchester Oxford Road and Warrington Central are currently blocked. According to National Rail, emergency services are dealing with an incident at Flixton station. Routes affected include East Midlands Railway between Norwich/Nottingham and Liverpool Lime Street, Northern between Manchester Oxford Road and Liverpool Lime Street and TransPennine Express between Cleethorpes and Liverpool Lime Street.Disruption is expected until at least 11am. A tweet posted by National Rail said: "#Flixton - The emergency services are dealing with an incident between Manchester Oxford Road and Warrington Central.
"Whilst they attend to the scene, all lines are currently closed. Trains may be cancelled, delayed or diverted as a result."
