The advisory runs from 6 p.m. Thursday to 4 a.m. Friday in Atlantic and Cape May counties. In southeast Burlington, Monmouth and Ocean counties, the advisory kicks in at 9 p.m. Thursday and is scheduled to end at 10 a.m. Friday. Forecasters said unsecured outdoor items, like trash cans and holiday decorations, could be blown around and scattered power outages are possible. The winds should shift to the west and diminish by Friday morning.
