Thousands of people are expected to endure the heat for Jazz Fest 2024, a free three-day concert in downtown Jacksonville.

Jazz Fest has seen many locations, from the Duval courthouse lawn to Riverfront Plaza, the former site of The Landing.“The theme is always come early when you come downtown,” City of Jacksonville ’s Chief of Sports & Entertainment Alex Alston said.

Some roads will also be closed for food trucks and vendors, but there will be plenty of parking at the lots surrounding Daily’s Place and the stadium.Temperatures will peak into the 90s all weekend and will feel even hotter. There will be four JTA cooling buses for anyone who needs a break from the heat, plus water and cold beverages.Vendors like Latisha, who traveled from Atlanta, is one of many at Jazz Fest. This is her first time at this event.Sound checks are complete, vendors are ready, Jazz lovers are excited for good live music, and the city is ready to host one of its biggest annual events.Some popular performers include Ritenour and Grusin and Brain McKnight who perform on Friday night.
