LIVE | Motsoaledi insists Dr Nandipha was lawfully deported from Tanzania, says home affairs will fight her legal action
Thabo Bester's new advocate, Tsoeunyane Jeremiah Pela, has implied the man locked up at the Pretoria Kgosi Mampuru II Correctional facility might be someone other than Bester.Motsoaledi says home affairs officials were assured that Bester was, in fact, Bester when it got him his identity card.Motsoaledi confirms that home Affairs officials were part of the delegation that went to Tanzania to bring Bester and Magudumana back to South Africa, after they were deported as illegal immigrants.
He said Ntshani told police in 2019 that her passport had been stolen, but Ntshani told police in March this year that she had given Magudumana her passport to help her get a working visa in America.- Karyn MaughanHe says the same procedure was followed in respect of the Mozambican national who was in their company.

He was shocked to discover that the DHA and I were not cited as respondents in that matter.""The DHA has obtained legal advice that there are strong legal grounds to revoke the passport of Dr Nandipha Magudumana and that firm action must be taken to that effect." - Motsoaledi.Motsoaledi says the statements were based on the information given to him at the time.
Celebrity doctor Mmereka Ntshani, better known as Dr Pashy, has sent a cease-and-desist letter to Home Affairs Minister Aaron Motsoaledi, giving him five days to withdraw"all defamatory statements and utterances" made against her.Motsoaledi says he needs to retract his statements about celebrity doctor Mmereka Ntshani, better known as Dr Pashy, who threatened to sue him over his statements about her passports.
