Police and paramedics remain at the scene of the knife attack
Police are at the scene of stabbing in Moss Side this afternoon. An air ambulance has landed near to Millenium Park in the last 30 minutes, with the area taped off.
Emergency services have flooded the area just off Great Western Street, near to Princess Road with a large cordon in place. No arrests have been made in connection with the knife attack, however a major police investigation is underway.A teenage boy is fighting for his life in hospital after being stabbed earlier this afternoon.
“We are appealing for any information the public may have to come forward and speak to us, it will be treated with the strictest confidence, and I am particularly keen if there is any mobile phone or dashcam footage of the incident or its immediate aftermath.”CSI officers in white suits have arrived at the scene amid ongoing investigations.The air ambulance that landed in the middle of the park earlier has left the scene in the last few minutes.
