Cricket: Following a long layoff, Josh Hazlewood has rejoined the Australian setup ahead of their white ball series against England.

Australia’s tour of England gets underway on Thursday morning, with a trio of Twenty20 international debutants set to feature in the opening game of the three-match series.

Jordan Cox, Jacob Bethell and Jamie Overton are all set to make their England T20 debuts against Australia in the game at The Rose Bowl, with first ball scheduled for 3.30am AEST. Australia is yet to confirm its XI, with skipper Mitch Marsh to announce the team at the toss, although he has locked in Josh Hazlewood after the fast bowler overcame a calf injury. The T20 series is followed by five one-day internationals against the same opposition, with England picking youthful squads after relinquishing their T20 and 50-over world titles over the past year.

Essex’s Cox, 23, was the top-scorer for men’s champions Oval Invincibles in this year’s Hundred competition while Barbados-born Bethell, 20, impressed for Birmingham Phoenix. Surrey all-rounder Overton, who has played one Test for England, will play as a batter only as he recovers from a back injury.Phil Salt , Will Jacks, Jordan Cox, Liam Livingstone, Jacob Bethell, Sam Curran, Jamie Overton, Jofra Archer, Adil Rashid, Saqib Mahmood, Reece Topley
