BREAKING | Gerhard Ackerman found guilty of child pornography, benefitting from human trafficking
Judge Ismail finds that Ackerman unlawfully encouraged the teenagers to perform sexual acts on Paul Kennedy.
He rejects Ackerman's many versions that he did not know about the images or that someone else must have put it on his phone. Ackerman did not dispute the existence of the images and videos on his phone, but claimed he did not know about it.The patterns of similarity also include how Ackerman was in charge of finding clients, making appointments with the clients and selling the services of the teenagers.Judge Ismail speaks about the similarities in the testimony of the teenagers.
He also conceded that he trained the boys, but to his mind there was nothing wrong if the teenagers were 16 years old and that his so-called golden rule was that the boys could not have sexual intercourse with clients.The entire defence case consisted of the testimony by Ackerman.
Still on the admissions, is a video found on his phone where he was allegedly having"consensual" sex with a 16-year-old boy.The court moves onto the Films and Publications Boards report, which analysed hundreds of images and videos of child pornography found on Ackerman's cellphone and laptop. The boy testified that he was made to perform sexual acts on at least three clients and that Ackerman knew he was 14 years old.Moving back to the crimes allegedly committed in the child sex abuse ring, Judge Ismail goes through the evidence of yet another teenager who was allegedly raped by Ackerman.
