CBS News Bay Area will broadcast the inauguration of San Francisco Mayor-elect Daniel Lurie live from Civic Center Plaza on Wednesday morning. The live coverage will start at 11 a.m., a half-hour before the festivities begin at 11:30 a.m. The mayor-elect will make several appearances across San Francisco earlier Wednesday morning before the inauguration. The ceremony is expected to last approximately one hour.
Besides an address by the new mayor, the ceremony will include opening remarks and introductions by former California Surgeon General Dr. Nadine Burke Harris, a performance of the National Anthem by ex-Tower of Power vocalist Lenny Williams accompanied by the Glide Ensemble, and comments by Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr and Lurie's wife Becca Prowda
