His statements came as a Hamas delegation was holding talks in Egypt for a Gaza ceasefire and hostage swap with Israel.Hamas chief Ismail Haniya accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of undermining efforts to reach a ceasefire deal in Gaza. The agency added that the attack resulted in “the deaths of civilians and the injury of a member of the Civil Defence Centre.” It added that “one civilian was killed and several others were injured in the Israeli artillery shelling on the neighbourhoods of Al Zaytoun, Tal Al Hawa, and Sheikh Ajleen in Gaza City.”
During the Israeli arrest campaigns, the Israeli forces beat and abused Palestinians and damaged their homes and property, the statement also said.Talks for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza amid the ongoing Israeli onslaught in the besieged enclave are expected to resume today.
