Evil-Lyn in 1987 Masters of the Universe and Masters of the Universe Revelation
Amazon MGM Studios and Mattel Films’ live-action Masters of the Universe reboot has cast one of Enternia’s key villains, the witch Evil-Lyn. Serving as Skeletor’s second-in-command, Evil-Lyn has been a key part of the Masters of the Universe franchise ever since its inception in the early 1980s. Originally voiced by the late Linda Gary, her character’s first live-action incarnation was played by Meg Foster in the 1987 movie starring Dolph Lundgren.
Per The Hollywood Reporter, the new Masters of the Universe reboot has cast GLOW’s Alison Brie as the latest live-action Evil-Lyn. This latest casting announcement comes on the heels of Riverdale’s Camila Mendes being named as Eternia’s Captain of the Royal Guard, Teela. Meanwhile, Nicholas Galitzine was first announced as Prince Adam, aka He-Man, back in May this year. These continued casting announcements also bode well for a project that has faced multiple setbacks and delays over the years.
Many fans have even gone so far as to suggest that casting the role of Skeletor may necessitate selecting an established and well-known actor to do the role justice.
