'I can't be living my life with fear of what are other people going to say because I'm in the entertainment business.'
After having chosen to edit what parts of herself she will share with the world, musician Tabia has changed course, deciding to give her fans an authentic version of who she is, her calling and how it all ties into her music.Untold Stories
was going to give her fans a full picture of who she is and what she's endured. She explained that she no longer felt afraid to just be. “I've tried to cover that life of mine because I believe it's a private journey, a private path and walk. It doesn't need any exposure ... ”Tabia said when traditional healing was at the centre of discussions she was somehow reassured why she made the decision to keep her journey private.
“I was like oh my God, I'm really grateful that I didn't really expose that part of my life because I would be now coming across these things of 'we are suffering from anxiety' and stuff like that, of which it's not like that. So now it's me saying that whether you say or you don't, this is me and I can't keep running away from that.
“Now Tabia is more comfortable with who she is, is more comfortable with being OK with who she is and now I'm in a peaceful space where if you can come at me, I will be able to respond. Back then I just decided to close the door of not opening too many interviews, not being out there a lot, just let my music do the talking. Now I'm more comfortable with my gift, my voice and the critiques and the encouragements. I'm more comfortable in my own beliefs and in my own skin.
